kottke'd already, but for a reason. 2 camera's followed the removal of a large dam and subsequent recovery of the river. this week the dam was exploded and the imagery of the water hungrily returning to where it was flew is beautiful.

Two years ago we drove through Joplin and the surrounding area's on a trip of Route 66. Had a nice afternoon there, in that quite Mid American town.
